Default Raptor 200 problems

Hey, my son just got his brand new raptor 200. The thing fires up right away, but it will idle for warmup and after a while it will stall, it can take anywhere from 2 to 5 min.

It does it too when riding and coming to a stop.

So what I did was to turn the idle screw clockwise a few notch and it seems to have helped, but it will do it almost everytime after hitting the reverse. The idle is almost to the point where you dont have to hit the gas to get the clutch to engage..

It literally brand new so..should I just be patient enough to get it to break in or? I dont like to see my little man all proud of this thing and he keep stalling everywhere when his friends dont lol.

My second problem is the display, it shows an error code and it wont show anything else, C-1850 is the code, any idea?

Also, i noticed two black cable not connected to anything in the electrical box, one looks like an antenna, wich make sense because i have a remote for it, but the other one with the crimp on?

Thanks, would take any advices !

Contact the dealer who sold it to you they should at least know what error codes mean. The idle problem could be a partly blocked idle jet or idle mix not set properly at the factory. Change the plug first, you never know. If that doesn't work, and cleaning the carb out doesn't fix the problem, altering the idle mixture a little at a time, may work.

Usually under the front of the carb, often blanked off. This is to stop you messing with it so don't unless you have already tried the other fixes first.

yeh we rode it few times and it feels like it takes forever to warm up, but once it is, its running good. So I guess its just the way it is.

Is the mixture screw behind that big brass cap on the left or behind the smaller one just underneath? It idle good but stall at anytime, warm or not.

Usually it is actually under the carb, however, just checked the net and it looks like the small brass plug covers the screw https://www.pinterest.de/pin/327918416620460158/ the bigger cap covers the end of the throttle spindle.

Any luck with the c-1850 message? I just got my son a raptor 200 and it’s doing the same thing. Also we have to give it a lot of gas to get moving, is this normal?
