Ok I am new to posting but have been following and reading a bunch of posts in this forum and I need advice. I was given a peace sports model tpatv501-110 atv from a neighbor who had it sitting in her driveway in what looked like poor condition. I finally got the parts I needed in to make it roll again and after i fixed the tire and tie rod end I rolled it over to my house and have cleaned it up, changed all fluids, I have taken apart the carburetor and cleaned it thoroughly. I got rid of the fairings and pretty much stripped it down to nothing other than the things it needed to start and run and ride...but my problem is I cant get this thing to spark. It cranks over and over but wont fire. Also when I am cranking it I push in the throttle and the atv acts as if it's trying to run. I have great compression, its getting fuel, and air but still nothing. I'm just looking for any advice to get spark. I dont need key switch or lights, I'm just looking for a simple harness diagram with the basics (killswitch, start button, etc) that will get this thing going. Thanks ahead of time. Above is a diagram I have made but I'm not sure how accurate or wrong it could be. Let me know!

 

I assume you have actually checked for a spark at the plug, as you don't mention this. Always do this first and try a new plug before starting to hack the wiring about. In fact, do the checks in the help diagnose stator sticky in the engines section of this forum first. Your drawing is a pretty good bare bones wiring diagram. One fault that would result in the fuse doing nothing, is the thick red going direct from battery to solenoid, this should not join with the one marked Red 12v at the solenoid.
