Tao tao 125 won't turn over

Tao tao 125 won't turn over. Brake light is on when brake is depressed. It will turn over with the remote but still will not start. I jumped the solenoid and got it to crank so assumed it was a solenoid problem. Just got the new solenoid today, installed and still nothing. Could this be a better issue possibly. The run switch is on as well. Only weird thing was that I lost the lights on the park neutral drive panel a couple months ago. Anyone have any ideas?

You have to check the thin wires to the solenoid. With ignition on, brake on and start button depressed, one wire should be 12v pos and t'other 12v neg, whichever isn't either is faulty, so trace it back and you will find the fault. As you are not getting it to start, there is another problem, they could be linked, if you click over to https://atvconnection.com/forums/1-e...l#&gid=1&pid=4 the wiring diagram (post 15) shows the kill switch sending neg to the start circuit in one position and kill wire in the other. Or they could be totally separate faults.
