does any one have experience with goodyear mudrunners? are they self-cleaning?? are they good in deep mud and snow? i was looking for a good tire that still rides and handles well. are alluminum rims a good idea for a utility machine like this? what about douglas rims? the thicker gage? thanks .

I have the Mud-Runners on my 99 500cc Sportsman.I am extremly happy with their performance in all areas. In mud, they are right up there with the Super Swamper Vampires. In snow,WOW,what traction they give.In most instances, plowing snow under 6 inches,AWD is not even needed with these tires.Forget using chains, you'll not need them with the Mud-Runners.They steer very well on hard pack to.I cant say enough good things about the Mud Runners. Hey Bill,
Where did you buy you tires from? and how much? I can't find any pricing on the internet other than the new accessories catalog I got from my dealer. Can I get a better deal off the 'net or is it about the same as gettin' them from a dealer.
Thanks
Todd
