My 2008 fortrax 350 4x4 won’t show what gear I’m in on the dash it only shows when I’m in
neutral and reverse

 

Video is a bit redundant as most Hondas would show the - when you put it in gear at a standstill. The bike or the engine needs to be moving for a gear to engage properly every time. If it won't engage forward gears, you have a selector problem. If it just doesn't show them on the display, either the wires from the switch are broken or the switch has a fault. This switch is inside the alternator case and, to be quite honest, it isn't worth the hassle of fixing it unless you are delving into the engine for another reason. Cheaper 350s, without a speedo, don't have a gear display, just the two lights.
