I'm in the process of attempting to rebuild a stock Yamaha warrior rear shock. I tapped in a valve so it can be recharged. I took it to a local shop, and they filled it with nitrogen. No leaks. I put the shock back on the quad, but it still is all spring, no dampening. So then I took the damper part apart, and put fresh fluid in it. It still doesn't work. Has anyone else done this? Any tips? I just can't figure it out why it doesn't work. The seals aren't leaking.

By the way, warrior rear shocks must not last long. I've owned two warriors, one of which had a blown rear shock. The shock I'm doing now is on my buddies warrior. Used warrior shocks go for around $150 on ebay, and $300 new, so there must be a pretty high demand for them.

Check out www.worksperformance.com. I think they offer a "heart transplant" for stock rear shocks. It might give you some ideas ??
