I'm looking for a quad to fit my 12 & 15 year old sons plus their 30 something mother. I was thinkning about a 250x or 300ex because of being a tried and true Honda man. But I'm almost tempted to look at the Kawasaki Lakota since it has the auto clutch that would be much easier for mom to ride. Any suggestions? Looking for something sporty and fast enough to keep the boys happy and also something easy for mom. Thanks.

Why not a 250EX? That has an auto clutch and is based on the recon, which is a very reliable quad. My buddy has a recon fun to ride, jumps well, light and sized comfortably enough for me to ride it at 6' yet still small enough for his 7 year old to solo on.

I agree with jwranger, the 250EX would be your best bet. It's a Honda so you know it's reliable and you get a great value for the money spent.

250 EX. I have Recon I beat the hell out of almost every day and a lot of the times it beats the hell out of me also!! But it is always ready for another bout with me. I have heard the 250 EX is VERY similar.

I would have to totally disagree with kkkiller300ex because if you do that your wife probably isnt going to like it especillay a 400ex and also the 400ex is just too big for the 12 year old , me abd kkkiller300ex both know someone who couldnt handle his 300ex one day and he was 14 !I would also recomend the 250ex , i had a recon and i rode 2 people on it all the time and it still had plenty of power . I hit good sized jumps with it and always honed on it and it was always good to me , and the bonus of getting the 250ex over the lakota is .......... ITS NOT A KAWASAKI !! ! lol .
