I use my H.O. for ATV pulls all summer. My only complaint is back shifting. It's either to fast or to slow. Has anyone tried a non-EBS clutch? If so, what secondary spring did you use and what did the clutch come off of? Did you like the non- EBS clutch? What were your gains or losses?

I love it. I used the same set up as the Scrambler 500's to start but now I have an HPD roller clutch and trail kit in it. The advantages are a couple mph's on top end and the main reason for me was free wheeling after letting off the throttle.

uflg95 whatss up
thanks for the email adress the other day, helped a little but they hadn't ever used a kiehin on a 500
many people ive talked to have switched clutches and gained speed

hey puller
do you run a tach?
if so what rpms do you try to run for the most power?
is your bike stock?

another question for uflg95
i have found out from installing a tach that my wheeler is equiped with a rev limiter around 6000rpms
is there any way to bypass this or do i need a scrambler ignition
if so what parts
i was told that there is more power to be found around 64-6600rpm ??????
any help would be great
together we will crush the grizz

4xwhore,yes I do run a tach,I try to stay in the 6200 to 6400 rpm range. My motor is stock,my clutch set up is half Hot Seat, and half Erlandson.I set up one way for pulling and one way for riding although I hardley ever ride it.I either plow snow in the winter or pull in the summer.I dont have a rev limiter,a few times during trial and error the engine climbed over 7300 rpm,and it noticeably drops off in power on mine anyway past 6500 rpm.

I dont know if yours has a rev limiter.I have never had mine on a dyno. The helix is a 48/40 with a stiffer secondary spring.I run 26" mudrunners, that are sipped.
