Rear Axle Bent Back

Any of you guys out there ever taken their slightly bent axle out of your atv and have taken it to a machine shop to have it bent back to its normal position. If you have do they do a good job, and does it make the axle weaker or have you had any problems since you have had it bent back.

once it's bent it's weaker and then if you bend it back it weakens it more. Get a new one, but keep riding till it snaps.

A machine shop straightened mine for around $40. I have ridden 2 summers on it and appears to be fine, however, I mostly trail ride. I don't race or do huge jumps, under those cond. my axle might have bent.
