Are Dirt devil tires the actual size the the sidewall says?

I need to know if the Dirt Devil tires are actually as tall as the sidewall markings say they are.The reason I ask is I ordered a set of Maxxis Front Pros for the front of my bike and they were the 22x8x10 size. When I installed them and inflated the tires they looked awfully short for a 22 inch tire. They actually only measured 20.5 inches tall!!I called the supplier and they told me that all the "Cheap" aftermarket tire manufacturers measure the mold size and not the tire size. And after the tire is molded there is some shrinkage. I then ordered a set of Titan 489's in a 23x8x10 size and they are actually 22.5 inches tall with 5lbs of air in them. This is a lot better than the maxxis tires. To make a long story short I dont want to lose any rear ground clearance so I need to know if a 24" Dirt Devil is actually 24" tall or close.I don't want to go with 25's cause I don't want any power loss with oversize tires.

9 time out of 10 tires will actually be shorter then the stated hieght. This is true of all tires, not just ATV tires. And it not just the "cheap" aftermarket tires. Every thing from Good Year, to B.F. Goodrich, to Interco Super Swampers are almost never the size listed. Usually smaller. There have been a few tires that have actually been over hieght too. The New Parnelli Dirt Grip tire for trucks was tested by FourWheeler magazine recently. It measured taller then listed but a fraction of an inch or so.
If you are concerned about loosing clearance, measure your stock tires too, to see if they are actually the same hieght you think they are. You might not be loosing as much as you thought.
Another thing to keep in mind is this. If a tire claims to be a 22" tire, and it actually measures out to 21.5", then you are only lossing 1/4 inch of clearance. That is not a whole lot in reality.
