my two best friends wanted to go fast. One bought a Raptor and took two days off work to ride, he came back with stories of how fast it was. The other bought a black 2001 DS and was worried that he might get beat, keep in mind that he weighs 100 lbs more. They have raced every way you can think of even traded quads and the DS eats the Raptor bad. The DS is one mean machine.

I have a 2000 Ds and my friend has a 2002 Raptor and we have traded drivers also . My DS has more pull in 3rd -5th gears than the raptor does no matter whos driving.

I agree, I went to the Dunes today and raced several Raptors, Won every race. And what is cool is that they even got the hole-shot more times then not,and my third a fourth gear just simply pulled'em. I LOVE MY DS!

True with proper jetting you can even pull the Super Raptors that have a pipe and filter. 300ft and 600ft no problem.

I took my 1st ride on a Raptor yesterday. Talk about disappionted! That is the most boring thing I've ridden in a while. I guess I was expecting too much though. I just thought the "biggest motor'd sport quad" would be a bit different.
