Took my sons lt80 in today to have the rattling noise checked out in clutch area and it also lost lowend power. They called and said the rollers had completely fallin' apart. They said Suzuki would cover all of it. This is a 2001 and only 1 month old. Just out of break in hours. I think I'm the second person on this site thats had this problem with 2001s.Hope this helps somebody!! I haven't seen them yet but if there's anything else I'll keep you informed.

Yes that is exactly what happened to mine. Except they would only cover the parts not labor which came to 200 and some dollars...........

Was a very poor experience with suzuki considering the machine was ridden 4 times..............

I had a new LT in and modded it,the frt. clutch did seem different than the older ones,on the sliding face(where the rollers sit)it seemed to be wider,I feel that this may have been done to slow it down(sort of like the restrictors that come in it),,but,,This may allow too much space in there, thus allowing the rollers to wobble around and mess up,I lathe this area to allow the roller plate to sit down onto the rollers, just a thought
Oh Yea,,I don't blame you for being disappointed! If I was to get a stock LT80 in and go to fix this,I would have an hours time involved, and thats with me looking dumb at it for a while! 200+ bucks for an hours work is a rip-off at best! I'd want to know why it took them so long!Figuring at 45$/hr,they must have been on it for about 5 hrs. Good luck
