Honda trx200sx (general)
#1
I am 15 i have a 86 honda 200sx. I ride with a 99 wolverine, big bear, artic cat, and grizzly. My dad bought it when I was 2(I am 15) and i have been riding it since I was 5 when my dad would put it in 2nd and i would ride around the yard all day wide open. It is mostly orignal but have replaced all 4 tires, chain and sprockets, front and back bearings, and thats about it. oh i do change the oil! I have never replaced the spark plug or worked on the engine. It has original exaust but it is a little louder than it used to be, and i ride it hard. The only problem with it is the axle bolts have striped out and got tapped, and the exuast studs broke but got them fixed. I ride on old logging roads, hills, and back roads. It is a little faster than a bayou 220 and Artic cat 300. Does anyone else have a 200sx?

The 200sx is a great bike my 3004x4 can beat a 450 and the sx can beat it in 4th gear the only problem i find is they have chain derailment problems they have great suspention and are great in general heres a tip if you can find a mono shock of a 80 81 yz80 the shock will easily fit and you will have have more ground clearance and travel and you can jump real high.

I have a 86' 200SX that I picked up for $500.00 back in 95' ALL the plastic is broken but the thing runs and drives great.. except the neutral light is always on ever since I stomped on the shifter hard when racein a friend on a 450S ( I beat him too)My bike has been thrashed hard, it has gone over 50 foot clif's when i let frineds ride it and when we come to a gate,, my firend just pickes it up and throws it over. I am about to retire it go girl friend duty (probley even wrose) It can go around 55MPH, just barely walks from my friends Kodiak and 450S. It was a great bike in its day.

AHHHHH YEEEEEAAAHHHH!!!!! now this is what i am talking about, you guys rock, i own a 86 200SX, sh#t is that thing been through hell and back, although the quad is in great condition, i have had a major porblem with it...... the motor seized up on winter day when my cuz was riding it, he was on ice just spinning the tires and bam, that thing was screwed, we had it fixed at the local honda dealer, it was a while ago, and it runs great now, the only other problems were minor, like back bearings and tires, chains sprockets, and i also had the porblem with my rear axle bolts getting stripped which sucks major ***, but o well, if any of you have some stories, fess up, i would like to hear them, i will return the favor, 200SX RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIDE RED!!!!

Ranger- they're damn good machines arent they.. id still have mine that i grew up with if it werent that the thing's piston locked up after the oil case cracked open after i wrecked it for the 100th time or so... it has been through everything and its a great machine in the mountains, it could go someplaces the big as* 4x4's werent even able to go and could climb hill like h*ll... mine was fairly junk by the time we scraped it out all the fenders were cracked nd i straped them together with wire and they held like h*ll... my battery terminals were crap so i screwed the battery and used the pull start...
one more thing though my rear axle bolt never got stripped out since we bought it in 87 and i've rode it hard

I was going to buy one a week ago that I could have got for around $500 in OK condition. Thought of making money off of it, but every 3-wheeler I see in the classifieds ends up staying there for a month. Then I tried to get one of my friends who didn't want to spend much to buy it, but he didn't want a 3 wheeler at all, even at that price. Are these 2-strokes? If so, what a trail machine...
