Does anybody make an exhaust system for Cats - particularly the '01 400 4*4?
I sure would like to see some stainless steel systems come out for utilities - all the sports machines have them, 4 bys need it most!

 

Supertrap makes one for the 01, it will be listed for the 500 though. Highlifter carries them I know, there was a used one in their classified section too.

 

Try a search on the forum. I seem to remember that someone used a White Bros "E" Series on their cat. They said it worked well and I love the sound of the White Bros.

 

What's up Hightower? You've got a cat too? I just bought one for the wife Saturday. It seems to be a great ride. I've got to find some rear tires for it that will do alright at the dunes in Little Sahara. She wants to go with me next time.

 

Yeah Sooner, I have an '01 400 4x4 I bought late 2000. Its for duck and turkey hunting, I don't want more sound, need to stay as quiet as I can, but I would like to have a stainless steel system.
Why are no stainless systems made for the quads that need them the most anyway - isn't that idiotic?? I put my cat through all kinds of crap, and avoid the mud on my DS. Don't the engineers ride?? Why don't they think of the obvious, even if all they do is sit at a desk all day?????????

 

I know that I've got a magazine that has a shootout with the big utility quads, (Quest 650, Grizz 660, Sportsman 700 & Prairie 650) and all were fitted with aftermarket pipes & jet kits except for the Quest 650 b/c one was not produced for it at the time. I can't remember which mfgr. it was or even what mag or issue. I'll flip through my multitude of atv mags and find it.
