I have a 500 4x4 and want to put rim spacers on, is there any thing that I need to know before I start. Will it help me through the mud or am I waisting my money? Just looking for any edge I can get.

Wheel spacers can be good and bad depending on your situation. Will spacer will make the quad wider. It is good that you are not riding in the same tracks as other ATV's. Because of this you are always making your own trail so to speak. In those situation where you want to make your own trail then they are great. In those situations where you want to follow the tracks of someone before then they will become a hinderence. Overall I think wheel spacers are great. They provide extra stability with minimal costs. I would recommend buying the ones where the spacer bolts to you existing studs and then your rim bolts to another set of studs on the spacer. If you go with the older style then there is the possibility that the studs could break because of the load.
