I plan to call Fast by Gast, I wanna get the Lectron 44mm and I have all the info available on the net about its design and how to adjust the metering rod, but there was no info about the "power Jet" on top.

What exactly is the power jet for, and what adjustments might be necesary with it? The literature I have states that the metering rod controls idle mixture, low, mid, and top end, and is used exclusively for all adjustments. I'm curious about this power jet, have any of you had to change it?

I suppose Buttfungus' site could list metering rod #'s and measured length, instead of main jets and clip positions, as popular as this carb is getting around here...

 

The power jet is Lectrons idea of a "main jet". It is for the 1/2 throttle to wide open. The metering rod does let fuel in the throat of the carb at this point, but they also use the power jet at the same time. In a way it is better, you have two different points in the throat of the carb getting fuel at the same time. This means better mix of the fuel/air. The power jet actually uses a pilot jet from a Mikuni carb. I am actually making mine with a adjustable dial in mine. This way I can change it at any time for a little more or less altitude. It will be like a "Dial a Jet".
