Front Fenders may Contribute to DS650 "Darting" at Speed
#1
I was riding the DS on a very windy day. I happened to be riding directly against a strong wind. As soon as I gained some speed the front end sharply pulled to one side for a second or two. I am thinking that part of the problem could be the aerodynamics of the front fenders. The stiff wind blowing horizontally right into the fenders deflects straight down at a right angle causing "lift" as in an airplane. I haven't tested the theory yet by removing the fenders to see if it helps.

I am convinced of part of this darting and sharpness of the steering is because of the front weight bias. Because the front wheels are "pressed" to the ground they don't really slide any so when it turns you turn right now...in fact if your going in one direction and want to go the other it is not hard to do...literally turns on a dime. If you find anything out after removing the fenders let us know.
