Default 250x problem

I am having problems with my 250x. It is not wanting to idle at all, could it possibly be the jets or the filter andy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This may sound obvious, but have you checked you idle screw, or played around with it. Will the problem stop after the engine gets warm?

I have checked the idle screw. It idles only when it's cold, once it is warmed up then it doesn't idle at all. I am constantly having to give it gas , if you are not on the throttle it will die.

Sounds like a sticky choke maybe.

yea i know what you mean i have a 250x when its cold it will idle but when it warms up it wont idle for aything. I can be ridding and i slow down and it will die. messing with the carb screw helps a little but the jets make sence

Does it pitter and putter and stuff when you slow down and kinda smoke? If it does its the choke and its flooding it . try messing with the choke is probably stick like the other guy said.

HAVE YOU CHECKED YOR PILOT SCREW? SOUNDS TO ME LIKE IT IS TURNED OUT TOO FAR.
TRY TURNING YOUR PILOT SCREW ALL THE WAY IN, THEN, BRING IT BACK OUT 2 AND A HALF TURNS. THEN ADJUST Y0UR IDLE WITH THE IDLE SCREW. HAD YOUR QUAD BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE? IF SO YOUR CARB MAY JUST NEED TO BE CLEANED. HOPE THIS HELPS.
