Default Needle Clip adjustment Help?????????

I recently had the needle jet out of my 325 TBoss to fix a hole in the diaphram. After reinstalling everything my Boss runs real rich now black sut all over the tailpipe. This didn't happen before and it also boggs a little when you give just a little throttle. I believe my needle clip was moved unintentionally. What position should my needle jet clip be, sorry but I don't even know what it looks like. So, help me out. I have read in the searches that most likely all the way up, but I want to be sure. I have a Uni filter and modded stock silencer for more flow, and Polaris Green Primary. Help out guys, Please........

Default Needle Clip adjustment Help?????????

Is this my needle clip????? #4 on Partsland.com website diagram 2001 TBoss Carb part# 3130752-- Desc. RING or is it #1 on the diagram part#3130507-- Desc. RING ???

The #4 Ring is the one most likely out of adjustment since it slid off when removing the needle from the diaphram.

Help out guys............

Default Needle Clip adjustment Help?????????

Hello rideit. The needle is partsland # 3130730.It will be shaped like a needle and have 5 slots cut into the top of the needle itself. The e-clip should be in position 3.Thats the very middle. The ring you are referring to goes between the e-clip and the carb diaphram. If you raise the e-clip(lowering the needle)you will lean out your carb.If you lower e-clip(raising needle) this will richen your bike. For most bikes I would set at position #3 or 4.These are counted from the top notch down.
