Can anyone tell us "out-of-staters" if their is any riding permits that we will have to have, to ride on California land?? maybe a BLM permit???

you will need a camping permit, $10 for a week- $30 for the year, (available at atm style machines at the dunes). also your bikes must have a registration from your state. If you vehicle is not registered you can get a out of state reg at the rangers station in glamis.

 

I know you have to have one. I think you can get them there, you can also get one ahead of time on some web site.

 

forgot to mention, if you don't have registration and need a non-resident permit(vehicle registration) they can be obtained at the rangers station or ordered online here . they are $20.

p.s. in the 15 years i've been going to glamis i have yet to be checked for registration.

 

Oklahoma doesn't require registration for ATV's. Do I still have to get a $20 california registration for every quad[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]?? good grief!!!

KINGRAPTOR we also dont get titles here in oklahoma so what do we need to carry.

 

You could bring the receipt from the dealer where the quad was purchased with VIN shown or statement of origin from the manufacture showing VIN and or both would be better yet.

when i haul open trailer Its not uncomon to get stoped for vin checks as long as none of the bike show up stolen they realy don't even care who's they are.but i have never benn pulled over at the dunes and checked they normaly only mess with offenders!!! and thats 35 years at the imperial dunes!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]
