Quad Paradise
#1
I figure I should let you people in on a little secret. Quebec Quad Paradise. Unknown to almost everyone who is not from the area, it has to be one of the best and most elaborate atv networks in the world. I will defineatly surprise you with some of the numbers.
Just to elaborate. These are ATV only trails, no sleds allowed. Sleds already have 20,000mi or so of their own seperate trails.
The whole system is run by the Quebec Quad Federation (founded in 1990?)
Annual pass is $100 Canadian
10,000mi of summer trails
6,000mi of winter trails
143 trail groomers (ski dozers)
47,000 paying members as of Dec 2001 (easily over 55,000 by now)
239,000 registered quads in quebec
Economic impact for Quebec is estimated at 1/2 billion $ annually
and you thought you had a lot of trails
Impressed????????

He is 100% on that. Quebec's trails are so nice, a lot on Americans or Canadian from other provinces are members of the trail system and come here on a regular basis. Tomorrow the 11th, a guy from a Quebec ATV forum organised a ride in Sherbrooke, Québec (my hometown). We expect more than 60 ATVs to show up, 15 of them from NY and VT !!! Winter trails are the nicest because you can easily make 1-5 day rides, going from cities to cities, stopping only for food, gas or motels, racking of thousands of miles on your ATV without going in the same trail more than once. You can easily travel 200 miles in a day because trails are groomed with packed snow. For summy rides, the northern part of Quebec is nicer because you can use almost every logging roads availables, a GPS and road maps are a must when riding north. This is a lot a fun for 100$ cdn a year.

That depends where in NY you are. Plattsburg is around 50mins from me. You do know that Quebec borders NY and VT.

What part of NY are you in? We ride western NY between Buffalo and Rochester and down into PA. Also Ontario just opened a trail across the border in Canada.
If you in the area lets ride!! the more the merrier.
