Predator Plastic

I guess it depends on your riding style, terrain, and height, but at 6 foot tall, I've got ZERO complaint about the gap in the gas tank plastic.
You're able to really grip with your inner legs on the side panels too. Nice.
One thing I've noticed though, is the front fenders seem to bounce and jounce around when at speed through some rough choppy stuff.......more bounce than I'm used to on Yamaha products. Its not from the plastic, but they only have the one small cross over fender mounting tube that really supports the outer edge of fender.......I might try and fab up a better additional brace...

I am 6'1" and ,with the way that I ride, my knees kill me at the end of the day. The "points" on the bottom of the front plastic jab into the sides of my knees...or should I say DID....a pair of knee pads cured that problem real fast!! No more pain in the knees!!

I've badly scratched & gouged the plastic sides & taken a small piece of red leather out of the seat, from wearing the new Fox rapter knee guards. Great for the knees but not for the pred. Thanks from down under. Geoff.

i find myself bashing my knees also. especially when using you weight to toss the rear around. when i slid up on the seat to unload the rear tires is when i bang my knees. never had the problem on my R or raptor.
BTW has anyone shaved the front fenders yet????

I'm only 5'8" so I gues that's cheating when talking about my knees hitting the gap! :-) No complaints here, even when standing and riding agressively. I look at the gap in the plastic as a "different" styling cue. Instead of being like everyone wants them to be (the owners of other quads) Polaris did things their own way! Also, check that the fenders are mounted to the tank properly. There are some tabs under the plastic that hook to the tank. That may or not be the problem. Quick question: The brochure and the microfiche say it has a 36 tooth in the back stock, and of you guys (or gals) have a 37 in the back like me? Just curious... :-) One more thing, we're currently trying out a set of Holeshots (18-11-10) in the back. So far they work awesome! It's like going one tooth smaller on the front. Plus they fit on the stock polished rims!
