Need Clutch for Raptor....???
#1
The clutch on my dads Raptor is going out. He wants a new one. What is the best and where should we get it from??
BTW, he will probably never do anything more to it than put a pipe on, so it doesn't have to be super heavy duty. Also, is there anywhere that tells how to replace the clutch?
Thanx for the help.

To replace it, it's pretty simple. Just start by taking off the right side footpeg and brake pedal, then take off the clutch cable, I think that's all. then you have to take off the oil filter, drain the oil, drain the coolant, and take off the coolant pump cover. There is a little bolt that holds on the oil filter, you have to remove that. there is one bolt inside where the coolant pump was (8mm) remove that. You then have to remove all the bolts around the outside (all 8mm) there is some bolts guarded by frame rails, and you have to have some pretty flexible drivers, and wrenches to reach them, but I think it can be done. After the side cover is off, there is the clutch pressure plate with 5 bolts, unscrew the 5 bolts, 1 turn at a time in a criss-cross pattern. Then the springs will come out, and so will the pressure plate, then the clutch. Voala!

Thanx for the input guys. Looks like I'll be shopping for a GYTR clutch. Then after that is fixed.....we wait for the tranny to fail!!!
