Hey i'm about to get an FMF megamax II for $160. The problem is i don't know what to do to the clutch. I can only afford a clutch spring right now, not a whole kit but I don't know what spring to get. I'm going to Little Saharra the 28th and i need something that will help acceleration and match up well with the Megamax. Can any1 help me out here? The guy i'm buying it from said i should get a white clutch spring but i thought i better get another opinion. Also will i need to rejett? I ride at about 1,500 ft elevation and i have a twin air filter. I was thinking of going to a 160 main jet after i install the megamax.

Oh and one more thing, if i take off the air box lid and rejet will i see a noticable diffrence in power? if so what main jet will I need?

Maybe i should have put this under the performance mods and mechanical but oh well, any help is appreciated.

The Polaris white spring is only a small improvement over the stock spring. Look at a Polaris yellow for higher engagement or a Polaris orange/AAEN green for a lot more engagement. I would suggest you change the weights also to get the full benefit of the spring. Instead of taking the lid completely off (made mine way too loud) I would suggest drilling some holes in it. A 160 main should be fine at this point, maybe even a 165, but the only way to be sure is to experiment. The power gains won't be huge, but should definitely be noticeable at this point.
