Default Less then .002 on the intake..Should I??

I have less then .002 on both of my intakes. I can't measure less then .002. So my guess is they are at .001. Should I pull the shims and get .005 smaller shim so I would estimate the gap at .006? or should I get a smaller feeler gauge to be more correct??

That would suck if you ended up with .006 on those intake valves. But you would still be allright. You want to be right at .004 or .005 if you can help it.

mudstud .006 will be fine. ,the difference in one thousands is minimal, as long as your valves are not to tight. if to tight the clearance shrinks some. with the intake clearance your running now you could burn up a valve. a little more clearance is better than not enough. the power difference in in one thousands is non existent!!!
