Good question, I was going to wait for the Rancher AT myself, but bought an Outlander last January:
Here are the big advantages of the Outlander over the new Rancher AT:
1) 3 Year Warranty
2) Independant Rear Suspension - Rancher AT is still solid rear axle. The Outlander is like driving a couch.
3) The AT is the same automotive type tranny as the Honda Rincon. I've heard from a Honda dealer that the compression braking on the Rincon sucks because of it. There is PLENTY of compression braking on the CVT Tranny. Ask anybody with an Outlander.
4) Check the specs on the turning radius, the Outlander can turn circles inside the Rancher AT radius. 6 foot radius vs 10 foot radius I believe
5) You may have to wait until later this summer to get a good price deal since it is so NEW.
