Default Question about, Fuel for a week long trip

Hi, I'm going to be going on a huntng trip in a couple of months on the Dusy-Ershim Trail. I was wondering if any of you had ever deer hunted on that trail, and how much fuel do you think I'll need for 9 days of hunting. I will be riding very slow most of the time while hunting. And probably riding half the day each day. I have a 2004 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 auto. Thanks.

I would bring 10 gallons plus a full tank (15 if you really dont want to worry). Either way you will probrably have a little to spare.

It all depends on the amount of riding you'll be doing. If you are only riding from camp to a tree stand or particular spot then probably 10 gallons plus your full tank will do. If you are going to do a lot of exploring and road hunting I would plan on a tank a day. This is about 5 gallons a day or about 45 gallons of fuel. Now if you're going to be far away from a gas station you ought to haul it with you. It is better to haul extra home then not have enough. Generally I plan on atleast a half a tank a day or about 23 gallons of fuel. If I don't use it then I put it in my truck to get me home.
