I'm considering buying a new AC 400 4x4 what is the top speed?

I plan on using it for riding the trails and a little work also.

how is the exceleration compared to other models?

I have an AC 400 ACT, manual, and I can get about 55 mph out of it. This was in the winter, going across a frozen lake with a passenger. I never hit the rev limiter, but I think I was very close to it. It's not really meant for that, but I wanted to try it. It has LOTS of low end torque and midrange, a good ride, and it's good on fuel. Hope this helps

 

I have a 2003 400i auto I have had it up to 50 mph and didnt hit the limiter, as for ride, my friend has a grizz and he prefers the ride on mine over his. the acceleration is pretty good, it isnt a race buggy so it depends on what you are doing with it as to if it is acceptable to you. I would recommend it.

 

Got mine {400 4x4 auto} up to about 47 on a paved road front end got a little shaky so I backed off
I think she might of had 2 or 3 mph's left in her. Definately no speed demon but as all AC riders know

I have a 2002 400i and I had mine at about 58 on flat pavement.

 

Had myn on flat pavement and just couldn't quite get it to 60

 

I have a 400 AC 4x4 and it will do lil over 50 I have hit the rev limiter that aint hard lol...But the 2x4 suck in mud!

 

Top speed over 50 mph, you've got to rev the heck out of it to get good power (not much happening in the lower rpm range) but once you get used to it's power band it can do all kinds of things. By the way, reverse is always in high range (03 AC 400), can be tough to get going if you need to back out of things.

 

WHAT?? the reverse isn't always stuck in high gear, myn has a high and low. Actually it is in low because it has a low rev limitor, but it has an over ride button that lets it go full speed in reverse, and myn is an 03 400 4x4 auto. I have no idea, but maybe they made more than one version of the same cat.
