650 Problem?
#1
I have just got my new AC 650 and only rode it about 3 hours on the first day. When I went to start it today the water temp light was flashing on/off before I even started it. I changed the fuse in the fan and no change. I checked the electrical connections and could not find any loose. I decided to let it run for a little and after about 2-3 minutes the light quite flashing. I rode it a little and the fan on the radiator worked as it should. My question is do I have a problem?
Thanks

Um.....since you are probably one of maybe 9 guys on the continent that have so far put any time on a AC 650, I would think this question best asked of your dealer. Maybe this is a self-diagnostic test....dunno. Use your warrantee.

Did you NOT get a users manual with your purchase???? If not call the dealer, they should have an answer for you, don't expect everyone here to know how to diagnose your machine for you, even though I'm sure many answers would come about, they would likely be incorrect assumptions. Call your dealer.

WE JUST HAD A 650 LE IN THE SHOP AND IT DID THE SAME THING, ONLY THE PROBLEM WAS THE FAN MOTOR WAS TURNING BUT THE FAN BLADES WERE NOT, THE COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURED THE FAN FORGOT TO BUT A ROLL PIN IN THE FAN MOTOR THAT TURNS THE FAN.

does the light go off after it is started? if it does then dont worry about it. My grandfather has a 375 auto and it does the same thing, but after you crank it, it will go off and function properly

That's funny..... The cat manual isn't worth the paper it was printed on. If I wanted to read 100 pages of "How not to ride my bike" then I'd buy a book......

Did you check your coolant level?
Some dealers do a poor job on set-up & sometimes overlook things like correct tire pressure, engine oil level & coolant. Before I take delivery of anything, I always gave it a road test & a good look over but now I check everything to be sure everything works correctly & check all of the fuilds.
The Owners Manual does not include trouble shooting sections, the "Service Repair Manual" would be the Manual to get.
