Default Idea?

You know how the rear ends of our quads are locked. Well what if you bought a rear axel assembly and put it up front? Would it work? Is it a good idea or no?

I believe this has been done already......order the center section out of the rear diff, and install it in the front. Lots of guys have run DirtyHowies lockers in the front as well.....same thing, no differentiation. Makes steering heavy at slow speeds.

It will work, I have done it. Just keep your old diff because you will get tired if the hard steering.

How did you get the King Quad diff to work in the Cat? I was also looking into doing that modification but i noticed the King Quad diff had a ratio of 3.09:1 and i think the Cat has a ratio of 3.6:1 ? Could you explain to me how you over come this difference? Or do you ?

If your Cat is an Auto, it has the 3.09s. If it is a manual you have to set up your rear diff with the gears from an auto.
