Default New mbr testing

Hey folks...this message is basically a test to see if I've got the computer skills needed to join/post.

I've been researching my ATV options for months. Based on all data gathered--tech data, advice of rider-friends, visits to countless dealerships, and the experiences of members of this forum--I've decided to buy an AC. Now that I've placed my order, I figured it's time to join the "club" instead of simply monitoring the traffic/discussions from afar.

IMO, these ATV-Connection forums have been a refreshing and mostly realistic view on the various machines available. It's been great to read about rider experiences, mechanical troubles/fix-it advice, and the like. Through it all, I've discovered that AC owners seem to enjoy a higher level of product satisfaction, are more loyal to their machines than just about any other group (Honda being the only exception), and that you willingly share your knowledge.

Thanks for helping to point me in the right direction...I'll see you on the boards (especially after my machine is delivered. :-) )

Welcome to the forum Seahunter, Its really a good place to gather info & share your points of view with others. Someone here has been there & done that on about any subject regarding ATV's. So you're looking at the Arctic Cats. Well after much research & waiting for the features i wanted for , i went for the AC 650. Haven't had it long enough to fully post any info , except for one serious trail ride , which was a pretty good trial that it passed in flying colors. I like the 650 Kawasaki engine. My two wheeler is a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Nomad , so they are O.K. in my book. AC put it all together in a package i've been waiting for , & IMHO did a pretty good job. Lot of good rides out there, just get the one that suits you, after you do your homework.
Regards, Jerico1

Welcome to the forum. If you enjoy your AC half as much as I am enjoying both of mine, you'll be thrilled.

This is a great place for info. I have found the folks here to be a fantastic resource.

Thanks for the welcome...I'm sure I will be thrilled when the machine arrives.

The 650 was also my top choice. It seems to have all the features/advantages and the best engine all rolled into one package. ATVs will continue to develop, and eventually something new will come along thats bigger, better, badder...but until then, I'm happy with my choice. Of course, I'll have to back that research/decision with some serious riding once I get my grubby paws on it...then pass on my experiences.

The dealer doesn't expect it in for another 3 weeks though, so I'm now in the process of learning patience. Actually, the wife has designs on my time...we've just moved up here and she wants me to get the house in order (lay carpet, build shelves, organize the garage and basement, hang pictures, etc.) before I start having any fun. Can you believe it...she's using the new bike as "incentive" for me to finish her honey-do list. :-)
