Default loose shocks 2003 trv!!!!

Has anyone else out had this problem ? I have just under 300 miles on my new trv and felt a loose feeling in the front end , jacked it up and took the weight off the suspension and i was able to lift the a-arms up and down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch before the shocks made contact . After removing the shock bolt and examining the rubber grommet in the shock eye it looked as though it had compressed and was worn out . It seems to be top and bottom both and both in the front shocks and back shocks. My dealer is currently in contact with arctic cat , they dont show the rubber bushings as replacable only the metal bushing that goes throught it . Hopefully cat will take care of this for me since i was one of the unlucky trv owners that only got a 6-month warranty ( i guess it doesnt always pay to have the first one on the block with a new model)

Default loose shocks 2003 trv!!!!

Hey 2ridercat,
I had the same problem with my 2002 500i at 800 miles, shocks and upper "A arm" bushings. I replaced them all. The reason they wear is because the rubber compound is to soft. It only cost a couple of bucks for each bushing. I reported this to Arctic Cat a couple of weeks ago, waiting for an answer . I think there might be some bushing at the auto store that might fit.

Big Cat

thanks for your reply , when i contacted my dealer he said they didnt list a part number or even show that they where available only the metal bushing insert was show availible ( like thats going to go bad before the rubber!!!) Where did you find your replacement bushings?? Talked to cat myself today about another issue and they seemed really concerned and said they would look into it right away for me . Im hoping its covered under a warrenty repair since it was only about 10 days after the warr. was up .
