Does anyone live or has recently been to the Grande Prairie/ Beaverlodge Alberta area? I'm heading up there in about a week for hunting and would like to know how much snow is there and how hard it will be to get around with the quads?

rooch,
I live in Chetwynd, B.C. and there is very little snow. In the bush (mountains) there might me about 6 inches. We have had some pretty nice weather recently and most of the snow is now gone. Monday there is a forcast of 60% chance of snow.

HOPE this helps.

talked to a friend from grande prairie last weekend , they had a couple of inch's of snow then. weather has been going above zero during the day this week with no new snow. should be ok unless we get a weather change in the near future.

I lived in the Grande Prairie region for on to twenty years, but have been transplanted for more than that in 'Flatland' or the 'Gap'....the GAP between Alberta Blows and Manitoba Sucks! Enjoy your hunt there. I assume you are going after Elk? It is very easy to stray into BC in some parts there, so better know your topo maps! Best of luck.

rooch,
Chetwynd is 2 1/2 hrs from G.P. (west) . Here is a link for the local forcast from Environment Canada.

Just copy and past. (sorry I can't make it linkable) Can someone else help?
