I would run far and fast from that Suzuki dealer. Clearly he doesn't even know his own products. Suzuki is currenty getting many of their motors from Kawasaki, and the motors in the Suz 500 Vinson is the same motor as in the 500 Cat. Dealers and/or saleman that bullshiit like this make me sick. I'd buy the Cat and then go back and tell them that I bought the Cat SPECIFICALLY because the salesman lied and didn't know what he was talking about. I'd stress that the lost sale was due to salesrep incompetence.

The 03 375 is really a 400 with a different name AC changed the 375 to 400 for marketing purposes, and the year and a half warranty is good to have.

Revhigh-
Yes that is why I am leary of going anywhere but where I have talked with this guy in Utah. He has a small shop, no pressure type of guy. I stay in contact with him and he just tells me whenever I am ready, not the line of crap that if I don't buy today the deal will be gone tomorrow!! I knew the cat changed the 375 to 400 for that purpose. What is it that you have?

I currently have an 01 Yamaha Beartracker 250 that I just bought used for my daughter. As of tommorrow at about noon I'l have a 2002 500 Auto 4X4 ACT that was a dealer leftover /demo with 50 miles on it. I got a great deal (I think) at $4300 with a 2 year warranty as of tommorrow, and a Warn winch for about 120. Can't wait ...

You know I always hear that kinda thing from the elitist. The motor Arctic Cat uses is the same motor Suzuki uses. People will tell you that the guns that Wal-Mart sells are cheaper models and on and on. Just not true, they might be last years model in some cases, but they aren't any different from what the manufacture is using. It would cost to much money, the thing that decides everything, to make it any different.

I was just talking with a cat dealer and your thing popped up and I told him what you got and he said that sounds like a great deal. I have been calling around looking for leftovers per say and nothing so far. So you got a screamin' deal, good job!!! Have fun getting tomorrow. If it was me I would have a hard time sleeping!!!

I hear ya ...

Today they're doing a complete service, all new fluids, filters, diff fluid, etc. The only catch is I have to put the winch on myself, but that's OK. I like turnig a wrench or two. And yeah, I can't conceive of a better deal than I got. My machine books at higher than I'm paying at retail level, so with a 4X4 I hope a lot of the depreciatioon has already occurred. I figure I can use it for a year and a half, sell it for almost as much as I paid, and it will still be under warranty for the next buyer. Then I can get one of the newest baddest 1000 cc fuel injected rockets that will probably be available at the time 2 years from now. It just never ends !!! Thank GOd ..

There's always something, bigger, faster, stronger, louder, ect. isn't there!!! I think I will just be happy to have one when the time comes. The dealer I did talk to has an 04 400 4by auto demo with 200 for 5745, ouch!!! 1300 more than you!! Well tax season is coming and hopefully we'll be sitting pretty after that!!

That's how it all starts, with the first one. Then its bigger faster, better, 4X4, etc. Don't forget his machine is 2 model years newer. That's 650 per year. I'm not sure what the 04 400 4x4's cost

Hey Thomar

Just for fun I just checked atvtrader.com regarding your 04 demo. I found several NEW 400 4X4's for 5150. So the price your dealer is asking is very high for a demo. Here's the ad from atvtrader

YEAR 2004 PRIMARY COLOR Lime Green
MAKE ARCTIC CAT SECONDARY COLOR Black
MODEL 400cc 4X4 ENGINE 376
PRICE $5,129.00 WEIGHT 635
LOCATION Arvada, CO
CALL TOLL FREE: (888) 207-3221

DESCRIPTION
2004 ARCTIC CAT 400cc 4X4, The 400 being Arctic Cats's No.1 ATV last year might not need an ego boost... but we'll give it one anyway. Selectable 2wd to 4wd, combined with a 1050 pound towing capacity and 4.8 gallons of fuel can help you get whatever the job is... done. While avialable as an automatic, this unit is a 5-speed with hi/lo range. Weighing in at just 635 pounds, and utilizing a solid foot of ground clearance gives the 400 a cross-section of kick-*** performance!

Here's another

YEAR 2004 PRIMARY COLOR Lime Green
MAKE ARCTIC CAT
MODEL 400cc 4X4 Automatic
PRICE $5,149.00
LOCATION Arvada, CO
CALL TOLL FREE: (888) 207-3221

DESCRIPTION
2004 ARCTIC CAT 400cc 4X4 Automatic, A great intermediate ATV. The 400 Auto gives you the safety and convenience of the Auto trans, electric start, and class leading load and towing capacities. There's a common-sense equation making the 400, Artic Cats best seller last season. Remember DMTA Delivers!!!!

Just wanted to let you know. I looked up an 03 400 4X4 auto, which is probably somewhere what you should pay for an 04 demo I would guess. Use the data at your own discretion ...

Data follows

ARCTIC CAT
2003

4 Wheel ATV
Model: 4X4-400 AUTO
Piston Displacement (CCs): 376
Stroke: 4
Cylinders: 1
Speeds: A
Dry Weight: 644
Low Retail: $3,215
Average Retail: $4,225

I'd look at somewhere around 4400-4800 for the 04 demo, I could be a little low. I really don't know how much they are new.

New an 04 is going for 5300, dang I just realized yah they are high, plus with 200 miles, which isn't a ton, but it something 5745 is OTD with tax and freight. Where do you get your info as far as high and low? I have looked on atvtrader.com trust me!!! Looked everywhere including ebay. What do you think about ebay things? seems like there is a lot of scamming going on right now
