Just got in the Feb. Dirtwheels. They have a Rocky Mountain ATV ad with the 589s in it. They have a few sizes including the 27".

Prices are as follows.
26x9-12..... $62.99
26x12-12.... $64.99
27x9-12..... $64.99
27x11-12.... $69.99

All prices are for the Titan 589 A/T

Oh yeah, Congrats to AC454! He had the exact 1000th post in the AC forum. This post is 1001.

70 bucks!!!!!! Thats it? I can't wait until my Rocky Mountain Catalog comes in. I thought they would be priced outragesly high, like the Good Year Mud Runners. I better start saving my money. Anybody else plsn on getting these tires?

I will be e-mailing Atv Magazine and AtvConnection.com to find out when they plan on testing them.

I'm kinda considering them now myself seeing that the price is lower than some others. I would still prefer Tri/Bi claws or maybe even 27" Vamps, but with the sizes available for the 589's, I could still use the stock wheels and save another $200 bucks. I could stick the 11" 589's on the back and the 9" ones on the front. It would steer better, and still get traction and added clearance. I'm glad they have an 11" availble. I just wonder how deep the lugs are. I would imagine that they are deeper than the 25" 589's wouldn't you. That proves that point I made a few weeks ago about the Arctic Cat accessory catalog. The 25" 589's are priced at $89.99 in there. Rocky mountain has the 25" ones for $59.99. This changes things a bit now. Maybe I will get tires sooner than I had thought.

New Cat auto comes with Titan
25x10-12 front and rear.
Artic Cat advertises that these
are "oversize" tires so one does not need to upgrade.
What is your recomendation????

The 1998 AC 454 and 500 also came with titan 489's in 25"x10-12 all around. The 99 400 had these while the 500 got 26x10.5-12 titan 495's. These tires hurt the steering on a stock machine (not everyone wants the bigger heavier steering tires). Thats why they went back to the 25" for 2000. You can always upgrade if you want added traction or ground clearance. Its just a personal preference. The 26" stockers were a selling point for me actually. Nobody else has ever offered that big of a stock tire. Arctic Cat advertises them as oversize, though they still carry both 495 and 589 tires in their accessory catalog. Its not necessary, its just if you want them or not. I want them myself.

10 wide tires are oversized. Atleast for the front. Who else has 10 inch wide tires or wider tires in the front besides Arctic Cat?
