AC454 VS Polaris Expedition 425

That was a pretty good one Rooster. I've been trying to straighten out the horseshoe in my rear bumper to be truthful. No, The bigger AC's with the big tube bumper wont fit in the back of a short-wide without the tailgate up unless you back them in. Even then, its a tight squeeze. You can put an old atv tire in between the front of the bed and pull the Quad up against it and tie it down with the tailgate open, or you can just back it in and slip something between the front bumper and the top of the tailgate.
I've done it both ways, and the back in way is a lot less time consuming.

Hauling our Sportsman 500 is like that too. Once I was in a hurry and loaded it real quick to get somewhere on our old "Beast" truck, and the front bumper was a couple inches away from the glass, so I tied it down. On the way to my destination, there was a stop sign at the bottom of the hill, when I hit the brakes I heard the bumper hit the glass. Oooh, that's not good. When we haul it on our new truck, we just put a 2x4 (not a 2 wheel drive quad) in front of each front wheel and then it's fine, plus the tailgate still shuts, and it is a short box. The 2x4's hold it enough away from the glass that it won't hit the back window during hard braking and going downhills. Never tried backing it on yet, might have to try that sometime, I'm sure the Sportsman will break down soon so we will have a reason to bring it to the dealer! Lol.

Chickenman, I didn't mean it to put down Polaris owners/riders, it was just a joke, that's why I put an "lol" after it. I'm sure you already know that though, you were just teasing. But it certainly could be true though. It has gone back to the dealer many times already, but not recently.
