I am considering buying a AC 300 4x4, I plan to ride on the trails with some other utilities. But I want some speed and acceleration. How does the AC 300 compare with other utilities?

 

We have 2 2001 300 4x4s. They will go about 40 - 45 in 5th gear high range. They will go almost as fast in the mid range at much higher rpm though. I understand there is a 310 big bore kit out there somewhere that I think would help tremendously, but how fast do you need to go with just a 50 in. wheel base? This is a great trail machine and is balanced very well. It is just right for all day rides as it has very light steering effort. Even My littel bittey wife gets along with it on all day rides just fine. I have a friend that has a AC 500 and he likes my 300 better because of the steering.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
