Default 2000 AC 500 front bearings...

To replace the bearings: remove knuckle assembly, remove both inner and outer seals, remove clip from outside of knuckle, hammer bearing out of knuckle. To replace, hammer bearing in knuckle (use a socket on the outside of bearing race) replace clip and seals. Very easy.

And to the guy that believes bearings fail from normal use...remove your bearing from the knuckle and I bet you find the reason why it failed.

One other tip when installing new bearings. I have never replaced them on mine yet, but if they are anything like the other ATV bearings I've replaced, on both sides of the new bearing they have plastic grease seals. Using a small screwdriver, pop out one of the seals, and pack it with more grease, re-install the seal, and repeat for the other side. The factory only puts a minimum amount of grease in these.

The bearings have no removeable plastic grease seals, thats why I wrote that they can be serviced! They only have seals on the knuckle.
