Problems getting 400 carb jetted
Anton, my knowledge about elevation is limited, I am at about 2-3000 ft, and was more interested in a comparison in jetting for elevation, I cant remember what I have in there though. But I am going to look and see, cause something is not right. Ricerocket I dont think these have an adjustable needle on them stock do they??

Problems getting 400 carb jetted
Hey guys
Just for fun I took some of the carb apart and cleaned the, you know what out of it. put the 150 back in and took it for a little spin. Well was able to get it up to 53 miles per and was still climbing? Did however notice some small backfire when letting off the gas not as bad as before. Did set the airscrew at factory two turns out. Now I did notice when I 1st played with this screw it was originally set at 1 3/4 out. I don't now if this is the fix but will run more tests and let you know ........dah ....maybe the carb was dirty

a little backfiring is normal when you let off after laying on it. I put my factory 150 back in but left the dynojet needle in and set the screw out 2.5 turns, its running good and the lean condition is not so bad anymore. I have a k&n filter with dynojet needle set on there recomendation and stock exhaust. Im at sea level. Just to give an idea on performance I was easily able to run 45 to 48 up hill. Im happy!! thats faster than I need to go, im also getting good throttle response now. on pavement it actually lifts the front wheels a little and I have 27" mudlights. Good luck to all, thanks to everyone who helped me.

southernmud it sounds to me like it is the needle jet setting go back to the 132 or 134 and move the needle jet to 2 or 4. Number 3 is for the stock setting that is where mine is set. I was having a problem with a polaris jet kit and dynojet told me to adjust the needle. If all else fails call dyno jet at 800-992-4993 they are very helpful and really know what they are doing. I have made many calls to ask questions about adjustability. Where did you buy the kit and how much did you pay for it?
