Opinion on CV Boot protectors 04 500 TBX
Just bought a new 04 500 TBX.
The plastic shrouds look good but dont seem to be durable and dont cover the boot enough in my opinion.
What experience have you had with aftermarket ones?
Do you have to remove the plastic shrouds in order to install them? I would like to keep them as they do look good but want better protection.
What is more inclined to get damaged, front or rear?
Also does the plastic skid plates hold up well or do you recommend another?
Thanks

I haven't had any problems with CV boots....well except when I tore the upper front a-arm off and it fell down on the boot and tore it....but that's a long story
I think the factory guards are fine.....they seem to do alright driving through trees and all.
The plastic skid plates hold up well and I wouldn't worry about doing anything about it unless something happens. They will take quite a few good shots before they'd crack and even then they will still work good enough until you get them replaced.
