Snow Cat
#11
Oh what a great day. I was on the cat all day trying to beat the road graters to the snow covered roads. About halfway through the ride I had to stop in town to get gas(advantage to living in a small town. Even the police drive 4wheelers). After getting gas I started off with out any probs. Except for when I shifted to 3rd and there was no 3rd gear because someone had done a ****ty job on the weld on the rocker shifter. Yes boys and girls it broke. We had to take it to my uncles and have him weld it back on. It was a pain in the *** too, because we had to loosen the floor board to get the thing back on. That only killed about 30 minutes of the ride though. No big deal. I also learned the 489's are a better snow tire than the 495's. You do a lot more sliding around with the bigger tires. I sure hope we get some more of this stuff. I'm enjoying doing power testing on these deep snowy roads. No loss for power whatsoever. Going again tommorow.
