If any of ya'll happen to need a new cover for the speedometer due to a bad aimed piece of firewood or in my case an illtempered rider or for any reason, AC says you can't replace the outer cover, you have to buy the whole thing for around 300.00. All you have to do is buy one for on 03 prairie, only difference is in the uppper right hand corner you have a big K and kawasaki written underneath in small letters. best part is I found it for 24.00. Just a little BS that might save somone some money or headache!

Thanx for the info arcticcop, but can you get it in the AC lime green if you order it from Kawasaki?

 

Just order the right colored paint for touch up and paint it.

 

Will the touch up paint stay? Or would it be best to use a light grit sandpaper and scuff it up first then paint it so the paint will bound together?

 

It looks like you can just get the cover. At brownsleisureworld.com look go to atv parts, then to '04 650 and then under instruments and controls. It's number 1 on the list and there's a part number for each color.
