Default V-Twin is where it's at..

Just for fun today, I popped the brake/CLutch on my sears garden tractor/lawnmower (21hp v-twin) and lo and behold, the front end popped right up! My wife just gave me one of 'Those looks'. =)

I've got a 20hp V-twin in my lawn tractor with more power than most quads ever dreamed of and to help the traction on my steep yard I have 30lbs weights bolted to each rear wheels. Got to be careful or it will pull the front wheels when you don't expect it to when going up the steep slopes. It will not stop for hills or brush piles or even 3/4" pipes driven into the ground 2 feet. Goes over or rips it out of the ground. The down side is if you hit a big rock with one blade tip and it bends enough, the blade will cut an 10" gash in the top of the mower deck before you can blink. Then the belt slips but the motor doesn't slow down. Took better than 15 minutes to weld up the deck, thank god for a heavy duty deck.

Hey Kylersk, you gotta take some pics of that!! I can't do that with my John Deere, it has hydrostatic drive. But its got a rear diff lock and it climbs pretty darn good for a lawn tractor!!

my brother was playing around on our tractor an 18hp, twin briggs and stratton, and hed throw it in gear, and pop the clutch and pick up the front, funny thats where all the weight is too, i was laughing so hard watching the sidewalls wrinkle like they do on top fuel drag cars, till my dad came out and yelled at him.
