Default Anyone get leg burnt from ac650 heat shield bolts?

I have had my leg burnt numerous times from the bolts that hold the heat shield to the exhaust pipe. Today I burnt a hole in my new gore-tex/scent-lok hunting bibs..... I can't explain how angry I am. Anyone that has encountered this please let me know for I am going to contact Arctic Cat over this matter. The 2005 Models have this corrected, I must not be the only one. Thank You.

I signed up just for this reason. I too, have had a melted snowmobile pants. I called AC dealer and first was told he never heard of it. I then called someone that had the same machine and was told that he had the same problem. I'm glad to hear we are not alone in this. How did you get AC to repalce your pants? They tell me there hasn't been a problem and bring my AC in after 200 miles. It has 31 now. I just printed this thread. I am going to take a copy to my dealer and see if I can get somewhere. Thanks all for being here.
Update: After an uncooperative dealership and several long distant calls to AC, I have a grommet kit comming. As far as the snowmobile pants go, AC says " Our warranty doesn't cover inconveniances". I wonder how much a class action law suit would inconveniance them???

If yours is an 05 I don't think you will get too far since they have them shielded. In 04 they were just the screw heads, no rubber recessing. good luck
