If anyone that has a fan off switch for their AC and would be so kind as to tell me how to install one I would be forever grateful!

I have the switch, and would rather install it myself than have the dealer do it.

Thanks!!!

I have not looked at installing a switch on to mine yet because AC is supposed to come out with a new wiring harness for the fan which includes a circut breaker in line instead of having to install a switch according to my dealer. Good luck!!!

I installed a switch for the fan on my Y2K auto. The wire going to the fan from the fuse box on mine is black and red. I spliced into the wire AFTER the fuse box so my fan circuit is still fuse protected. I installed my switch on the plastic below the indicator lights. So---a new wire runs from the black/red wire coming from the bottom of the fuse box, up to the switch, and then from the switch back down to the other end (fan end) of the same black/red wire I had cut. Simple as that. However---there are a couple other things I did as well: On my splices, I used quick connects (male and female connectors). This way, if the switch goes bad in the field, I can unplug the wires to the switch and bypass it, simply by unplugging the wires to the switch and plugging them in the way it was wired without the switch in the circuit. I also used a lighted (illuminated) switch. As long as thefuse is good, the switch is illuminated. If the fuse blows, the switch won't be illuminated. I'm glad I chose an illuminated switch because I HAVE FORGOTTEN to turn off the fan while in deep water and the fuse blew. Just a quick glance down at the switch, and I can tell if the fan fuse is okay or not. Using an illuminated switch, I had to run a wire back to the negitive side of the battery for the lamp in the switch.
Hope this helps!!!
