Default Gas leak

Anyone dealt with this problem? My dealer seems to be stumped....
Gas leaking/dripping from the bottom of the carburetor (drain) whenever the ATV is rocked back and forth. Especially noticeable after it's been trailered. First noticed a distinct gas smell when it was garaged and then noticed after trailering that enough gas is leaking out to actually pool in the depressions on top of the tranny casing. This happens when the 400 is not running.

Dealer has been all over the unit, focusing on the carb. The carb was actually replaced on the latest trip in - courtesy of AC. Put the unit back on the trailer, travelled home and still had the same problem - smell and raw gas leaking. I was able to stand on the trailer, rock the ATV back and forth and see the gas dripping off the bottom of the carb.

It's an AC 400 4x4 Auto with less than 200 miles on it.

It's about to go back in to the dealer - again - but I would appreciate any suggestions/help on this.

You say it happens only when the bike is not running, and worse when its trailered. Leads me to think that maybe the tank vent isnt working properly and pressure is building up in the tank from the sloshing during trailering. Pressure builds up and gas is forced out thru the carb maybe?? Just a though, Ive been known to be wrong more then once lol

I had the same probelm after my machine sat for a while.....took the carb apart and cleaned it out real good reset the float....which helped. But it still leaks alittle. I suspect the needle valve is the problem. It doesn't seem to be a problem when I run the machine so I simply shut off the fuel when I shut the machine down or trailer it. I figure I will eventually have to replace the valve. ......but I'm in no hurry as long as it runs good.

Turning the fuel valve whenever you are not running the engine should stop fuel from getting to the carb. If the problem continues with the valve off I would suspect a bad fuel valve. Gravity works 24 hours aday and since this is a gravity system not turning off the valve is like leaving an electic fuel pump on on a car.
