They have a tendancy to come looseNext, I'll use some loc-tite on them

Ok, lets talk about the difference between a dealer jack and one for use in you own shop. The dealer one is gonna get the dog sh*t used and beat out of it as it's used 5 days a week and many times a day, by a guy who doesn't own it and doesn't have to pay to replace it. The home one will be used how often? Mine averages once every 2 weeks by someone who pays to replace it so he doesn't abuse it. As to safety, they all have manual locks to lock the thing up in the air so it won't fall on you and when you are going up and down you are suppose to be smart enough to not be under it. I like mine because it has all foot controls and I don't do bending over or kneeling down very well with the old knees and back. Also mine is rated at 1500 lbs, which means in today's world the it will do twice that, or lift a small car. Your ATV ain't gonna stress it. So if you are buying one get the features you want and the price you are willing to pay. What's a good deal to one is a bad deal to someone else. It is all in the eye of the beholder or in this case the buyer and user.

I have the Craftsman jack also, It's been a while since I did the comparisons but the Craftsman had a feature or two the others I looked at didn't. Whichever one you choose, they're definitely nice to have....
