Rock, classical , bluegrass, heck even country..... and though I managed to grow up
and leave my partying days 20 years behind me I find it pretty disgusting how judgemental
some folks can be.

I guess if he was a God fearing, Budweiser drinking Adulterous son of the south some people
here would be saying that he's "gone to soon".

I have to just shake my head and wonder whether some folks think before they post.....
I am shaking my head and wondering the same thing. Sounds like you are being judgemental about these peoples opinions. No offense meant but cmon.
Bottom line is the guy was a loser in society, living off the hate culture in society, thats all their saying. Thats their belief and opinion, maybe just worded differently.
Doesnt matter what kind of music he played or how much money he had. Many famous people get that way by doing whats wrong, not by doing right.
These people dont agree with that. Standing up and being counted for your beliefs is not being judgemental. I am not OK with what the nutcase did but like someone said, if you put yourself in a crowd of messed up people who are living life wrong you might get into some trouble. Just like if you walk across the street and get hit by a truck then maybe you should have been running or maybe waited on the truck. If you drink Alcohol you might become an alcoholic, If you go to Church, you might become a Christian. Do you see the contrasts here? Life happens according to Gods will and plan but we have choices to make. We all reap what we sow. Make a bad choice and you might pay some consequences. "God Fearing" Christians do sin but real "God Fearing" people that know Christ repent, knock the dust off, go back to the bible and try again. There is a big difference between those who just go to church on Sunday and those who go to the Lord in prayer and try to live daily by his word. Unfortunately I can tell that by the comment you made, you have been around people that go to Church and act Churchy on Sundays but dont put an effort into living their lives like the bible tells them to. These kind of Christians are doing no good for Christ as they make a bad image of him. It would be a tragedy for them to die or kill anyone while drinking budweiser and driving but it would also shine a negative light on Jesus and how people see him.

Ok here's my take on it. I guess you guy are saying that you and dead Dimebag can have your opinions and express them and that's ok. But the guys with the opposite view aren't allowed to. The way the deal works is everyone gets to have their little old opinion and gets to express it, even if you don't like it. Have you ever heard the old adage " opinions are like A**holes, everyone has one?". I may disagree with a person or groups opinion but we all get to have that opinion and run our chops about. That's what the Constitution says at least.

Pantara's music was never anything more than music to me. It didnt make me wanna go out and hate anyone, hit anyone or what ever. Same can be said with Strypers music, It never made me wanna run to church right away. I enjoyed listening to the music. I never knew dimbag personally, nor do I know much about him, so I cannot say he's a 'loser in society'. But I will say, I do enjoy the music.

Also, I think topics such as this should not be discussed on this board. I have other boards where I feel political, religous and other topics can be discussed, but those boards are a much smaller user base where everyone pretty much knows eachother. These types of topics make a fun board, not so much fun.

With all due respect and friendly consideration -

Each of us chooses which threads we read, subscribe to - or care about. This is the ultimate freedom. Use it wisely.

And Amen to Sumdumgi's post. God does have a plan, you can choose not to be part of it - but it doesn't change the plan.
