Default Can I replace my front differential with a rear???

I have an 03 500 and would like to know if I remove the front differential and replace it with a new rear differential for full time, true 4 wheel drive if it would work? I know it would be harder to steer and would create steering problems on hard surface roads but I am curious if anyone has done this? What do you think?

Thanks!!

Yes you can replace the diff with the spool from the rear. If you get a complete rear diff you won't have 2x4 selectability. For serious mudding I'd go for it but not if you do lot's of trail ridding due to the steering.
