Ok my carb is running a little rich...making my Spark Plug to turn BLACK!!!

Can someone give me some advice on what I should be looking for...how to I adjust it to become more lean?

This is on a AC 500 '03

Probably one or both of these following items if it just started running rich. The Enrichment system (the choke) is not shutting clear down and bleeding fuel into the engine all the time, or your float setting has changed. In either case the carb has to come off and be torn down for inspection, repair or adjustment. Rarely can you just adjust these problems away.

It can be many things, usually I go by drivability symptoms. If it starts and runs well...the jetting is good. It could be as simple as a plugged up air filter.
Heres an article on jetting, which has symptoms of lean and rich, and how to adjust the carb , and trouble shoot the circuits. Its not as hard as you think it is. If you can do some wrenching, you should have much problems.
